There’s a list of movies that any die-hard can fan should see, which includes such classics as Le Mans, Bullitt, Grand Prix, Vanishing Point, Ronin and C’était un Rendezvous, to name a few. We should add Love the Beast to that list.

Directed by Eric Bana, the film documents this Australian actor’s love affair with his classic Ford GT Falcon Coupe. Nissan BRE 370Z – Click above for high-res image gallery

Nissan is celebrating the 40th anniversary of Peter Brock’s famous toppling of the Germans and Brits at the SCCA Championships at Road Atlanta in 1970, and with it comes the BRE 370Z, a liveried nod to Nissan’s storied racing heritage.

Coated in Brock’s iconic red, white and blue paint scheme, the BRE 370Z made its debut yesterday at Road Atlanda during the Classic Motorsports Mitty, and comes packing enough kit to make it eligible to run in the SCCA’s T2 championship. Nissan plans to show off the Z across the country this summer, including a stint at ZCon this July in Nashville, but don’t expect the tri-colored coupe to hit dealers anytime soon – it’s strictly a show car for now.

Bone up on your BRE history and get all the details in the press release after the jump.

Chevrolet Orlando – Click above for high-res image gallery

Rumor has it that General Motors won’t be selling the new seven-passenger Orlando here in the United States come 2011, or ever for that matter. According to Automotive News, GM has said that it will be skipping the people-mover in order to focus its attention on the models Chevrolet currently sells. Margaret Brooks, Chevrolet’s product marketing director for small cars and crossovers, said that the company’s current portfolio easily takes care of any family’s needs.

While buyers in Canada, Europe and Asia will still be able to buy the new Orlando as scheduled, GM has decided to increase production of the Equinox, Traverse and Malibu here in the U.S. to make up for the missing model. The move is still somewhat of a shock, especially considering how hard GM was pushing the Orlando as part of its new product lineup just one year ago.

The decision to drop the Orlando does make sense, though. Despite the fact that the vehicle was based on the much smaller Cruze platform, it would be elbowing its way into an already packed showroom dominated by the likes of the popular Equinox. Those needing a little more space for their brood or luggage can still easily step up to a Traverse.

Meanwhile, Automotive News reports that the Cruze is still scheduled to begin production later this year.

Audi RS6 Clubsport by MTM – Click above for image gallery

Of all the products in the Audi arsenal, we’re not sure if the RS6 would be our track rat of choice. It’s twin-turbocharged V10, massive meats and grippy all-wheel drive system is surely the stuff of track-day dreams, but we’ve always been more enamored by the RS6′s brutal, road-going civility – it’s simply better suited to high-speed cross-country runs rather than full-on tarmac attacks. MTM appears to disagree.

The German tuner of all things Audi has put the sedan variant under the knife to create the RS6 Clubsport, and as with everything from MTM, it’s a compellingly comprehensive package.

The mods start with a new front lip, carbon fiber rear diffuser, an adjustable suspension and black 21-inch wheels shod in Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 tires. Inside, the factory thrones have been nixed in favor of a duo of carbon fiber Recaro buckets with six-point harness attached to a rear-mounted roll cage that’s sure to have displaced the rear seats.

Engine upgrades are limited to a high-flow air filter and stainless steel exhaust, but with the help of MTM’s crack ECU tuners, they’ve been able to boost output of the turbo’d 5.0-liter V10 to 720 horsepower (at 6,360 rpm) and and 579 pound-feet of torque (between 2,750 and 6,280 rpm) – a sizable increase over the stock engine’s 571 hp and 479 lb-ft of twist. And if you option up the tires to one of the four available compounds (and why wouldn’t you?), a derestricted top speed of 211 mph can be yours. We think we’ll take ours in five-door form, sans the cage. Maybe in brown…

The Audi RS-fest continues with the RS3, spied on its way to the ‘Ring for the obligatory entrance exam to become any kind of sports car. The news on the street is that the RS3 will get a reworked version of the five-cylinder lump from the TT RS with output claimed to be “over 330 bhp.” It won’t though, get the TT RS’s six-speed manual, going for an S-tronic instead. We could see it at the Paris Motor Show, but we won’t see it here in the States. With Audi’s continued refusal to even bring over the S3, the chances of an RS3 making it to the U.S. are limited… at best.

2011 Ford Mustang GT promo – Click above to watch video after the jump

At this point, we know all there is to know about the 2011 Ford Mustang. The fact that the all-new 5.0-liter V8 delivers a heady 412 horsepower and 390 pound-feet of torque is scrawled on our collective consciousness for good. Likewise, it’s old news that the base car has been transmuted from rental fodder into a genuine sports car thanks to its new 305 horsepower 3.7-liter V6. Needless to say, Ford has a bit of a challenge ahead of it when it comes to marketing its reborn pony.

How do you advertise a car that has been so thoroughly dissected by every auto rag and site on the planet? If you’re the Blue Oval, you do it by showing the adoring public exactly what makes the car so special. Ford has rolled out two new promos for the 2011 Mustang, both of which pour over every detail of both the mighty GT and respectable V6. There’s plenty of awesome CG to take you deep into each car’s drivetrain, and a burly voice over to remind everyone just how manly you’ll be when you hop behind the wheel.

Hit the jump for your daily dose of engine p0rn.
