2006 Medicare Electorate Data, Australia
Data released today show that bulk-billing rates for non-referred GP attendances increased in the vast majority of federal electorates from 2005 to 2006 as a result of Commonwealth Government initiatives to strengthen Medicare. The national average bulk-billing rate for non-referred GP attendances in 2006 was 76.6 per cent, up from 74.7 per cent in 2005. [click link for full article]
